Thick Norwegian Salmon soup

This is my sisters recipe which she learnt from a friend and she said she changed few bits. Dont know which. 
Can be eaten with white rice, wholemeal bread or if u fancy on its on as a soup.

Meal for 4
Ingredients:
 
2 small pieces of salmon fillet.
1 big potato
3 carrots
Half a courgette
1 small onion
Half a leek
3 bits of garlic.. Dont know what the small piece are called.
2 tea spoons of tomato puree or 2 table spoons or canned peeled tomatoes.
Salt, black pepper, thyme and oregano.
Milk 1.5 mug

Method:

Chop all the veggies (meduim)
Galric (mash up)
- In little olive oil fry the onions and garlic.
- Add the carrot, leek, potatoes. (in that order)
- Add the tomatoes puree.
- Add the salt, black pepper, thyme and oregano.
- Stir and stir and let them cook. Add a lil water when they get dry and let it evaporate.
- Add half a mug of milk and let them cook nice and slow.
- Add the courgettes
- Add the salmon (make sure it's skinned)
- Stir, add the remaining milk and wait 5 mins before you cover it for 20 mins on low heat.
(((note that the smell at all stages do not reflect the taste... Thankfully the taste is better, so keep tasting to make sure everything is cooking and not overcooking)))
-Enjoy it.

PS: Also add more of the humble spices before putting the lid on for 20 mins if u fancy.

Pasta bake with veggies - Yemeni Hands

This is a simple recipe for pasta and cheese lovers.


I just followed instructions on the pasta sauce jar.

Cooking time: 40 mins, serves 6

Ingredients:
  1. Pasta (i used wholemeal) 3/4 of a medium pack.
  2. Cheese (i used mozzarella and cheddar).
  3. A generous amount (depends on u).
  4. Pasta bake ready sauce (whole jar) I will upload the pic of it.
  5. A whole medium red onions
  6. A carrot
  7. 1/4 green pepper
  8. 1/4 orange or red pepper
  9. Salt and black pepper.




Method:



Preheat the oven on the highest.

Boil your pasta (salt and olive oil)
Fry the chopped veggies in a bit of vooking olive oil. Start with the carrots, onions and peppers. 


When the pasta has cooked fully, drain it and add it to the pan which has the veggies.
Cook together for 3 mins and add salt and black pepper.
Pour the sauce jar into a deep-ish oven tray.
Add water (not boiled( to the empty jar, shake it and add it to the pasta mixture.
Put the pasta mixture into the oven tray.
Mix it all up.
Put it in the oven.
Take it out in 20 mins.
Can add more black pepper at this stage.
Add half the cheese into the pasta. Make sure it goes all in and everywhere. It will be melting. Yummmy.
Sprinkle the rest on top and back in the oven until the cheese on top is golden brown.

Serve hottt and enjoy.

Yummy Easy Banana and Walnut cake

Recipe:
Preheat oven on low heat.

Ingredients:

1 cup of plain flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup oil, 1 large egg or 2 small eggs, 5 table spoons of milk, 1 spoon 5ml of baking soda and 1 spoon 5 ml of baking powder, 4 drops of vanilla, 1 to 2 full spoon of well crushed walnuts and 3 large bananas or 4 tiny ones.

(cup = 175ml)

make sure u preheat the oven before getting out the ingredients.

Mix: flour, sugar, baking soda and powder.
Once they r all mixed well add the oil, egg, vanilla and milk and mix v well again.

In a seperate bowl: Mash the bananas until there r no bits. (the more ripe the better).

Add the mashed bananas to the mixture and again mix really well.

Grease tray with oil.
The layer poured shouldnt be thick.
Middle rack.
Bake on very low heat for an hour. 
Check after 45 mins.

Ideal with icing, icecream and nutella.

Yellow rice with chicken and carrots

The dish has few spicy ingredients. If u dont like spicy remove it and u can fry raisins and almonds on the side and add at the end for a different sweet nutty flavour.

1 chicken, 2 carrots, 1.5 onions, 3 cups rice, half a cup of thin short noodles (sh3airiyyah) (small vermicelli) , 2 cardamons, cinnamon powder, salt, black pepper, tandoori powder mix (did'nt
 put much so can be replaced with tajin spices) yellow colour, peri peri sauce (available at tesco for a pound) and chilli flakes.

Marinate chicken cut into small pieces in lemon, peri peri sauce, salt, chilli flakes, tandoori powder and salt.
Leave for as long as possible, the longer the more tender. I cooked mine after 15 mins of marination.
Add two cardamons
Steam chicken, basically put it on low heat. No oil. 
Meanwhile, grate 2 carrots or more if u like. Fry them in a wee bit of oil.
Chop 1.5 big onions. 1 white, half red. Long.
Once the chicken has cooked add black pepper powder and the carrots to it and add yellow colour NOT TURMERIC.
Fry onions, add lil cinnamon powder until brown.
Add to chicken and carrot mix.
Wash 3 cups of rice.
Add to mixture and add bit of salt
Fry the v thin short noodles in v lil oil until brown.
Add to the mixture.
Give it a good gentle mix. 
Add boiled water.


Tip: make sure the chicken has cooked but still have gravy in it.

I just had it and it was yummy. Had to add a bit of salt. Goes well with mayo. Or maybe its just me... I add mayo to everything.
Next time I will add another carrot and possibly more thin noodles. They both give the special flavour of the dish

Tuna pasta salad

The steps are illustrated in the pictures. Pretty simple . Enjoy :)  




Ingredients: 

Pasta, half a tin of tuna, 2 egg, olives, quarter of 1 red onion, half a tin of kidney beans, half a green pepper and half a red pepper, sweet corn, mayo ♥, salt, black pepper, olive oil and if u have caeser salad dressing it will be buff.

This is how it's made:

Boil pasta, boil 2 eggs.
Finely chop: onions, red and green peppers.
Get the remaining ingredients ready.
Rub the chopped onions in lots of salt for 20 secs then rinse it with cold water really well. This makes ur mouth stink waaay less.
Now the thing which rocks in this salad:
Fry the peppers in a wee bit of olive oil for 5 mins and then add the kidney beans. Brings out both of their flavours.
Mash the tuna with mayo and black pepper until smooth.
Cut each egg into 16+ pieces.
Add everything together including the remaining of the ingredients.

Enjoy.
